Write for Botletter
Botletter started as a tool for sending newsletters and drip campaigns through Facebook Messenger, and the site has grown into a place where people compare messaging tools, chatbots, AI writing assistants and the automation that ties them together. Our readers run small businesses, agencies and side projects, and they want practical answers: which tool, what it costs, how to set it up and what results to expect. If you can write that kind of article, we would like you to write for us. Below are our contributor guidelines and details of how sponsored content works.
What we publish
- Newsletters: email and Messenger newsletters, list growth, sending frequency, open and click benchmarks, and platform comparisons.
- Chatbots and conversational marketing: Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram and Discord bots, bot builders, and case studies with real numbers.
- Drip campaigns and automation: onboarding sequences, re-engagement flows, Zapier and Make workflows, CRM integrations.
- AI writing and marketing tools: reviews and head-to-head comparisons of copywriting assistants, subject line tools and content generators.
- Growth tactics for small teams: referral loops, lead magnets, landing pages and measuring what actually moved the needle.
Guest posts and sponsored articles
We accept guest posts from marketers, founders, developers and freelancers who have used the tools they write about. We also accept sponsored posts from SaaS companies, agencies and tool makers who want a dedicated article about their product, an inclusion in a comparison, or a tutorial that features their platform. Sponsored articles are paid placements, written to the same standard as editorial, and labelled as sponsored where disclosure is required.
Every article we publish is permanent and indexed. Links in the body of an article are dofollow when they point to a page that is useful to the reader, such as a product page, documentation, a template or a case study. We do not strip or nofollow editorial links after publication. Pricing for sponsored placements is available on request. Once we have an approved draft, the typical turnaround to a live article is three to five working days.
Guidelines
- Original content only. We check for duplication and we decline anything that has been published elsewhere, including AI-rewritten versions of existing posts.
- 800 words minimum. Tool comparisons and step-by-step tutorials usually land between 1,200 and 2,000 words, with screenshots where they help.
- One or two relevant links. Each link should earn its place. Affiliate cloaking, link-only paragraphs and exact-match anchor stuffing are removed.
- Show your work. Include the setup, the numbers and what you would do differently. Vague overviews that could apply to any tool are declined.
- No gambling, adult or pharmaceutical topics, and no articles promoting spam tactics or scraped contact lists.
- An author bio is optional. If you include one, keep it to two sentences with one link.
- We edit for house style, clarity and length, and we may change the headline. If we make substantial cuts, you will see the edited draft before it is published.
Formats: a Google Doc link, a Word document or clean HTML. Screenshots should be at least 1,000px wide with any personal data blurred.
How to pitch
Email guestpost@botletter.com with the subject line "Guest post: <topic>". Give us the working title, a three-sentence summary and a link to something you have written before. If you already have a finished draft, send it along. If you are asking about a sponsored post, say so in the first line and we will reply with current pricing and availability.
We answer every message, normally within two working days, and we will tell you plainly if a piece is not right for us.
Questions about how to submit an article can also go to guestpost@botletter.com.
